Admit it: you’re a little bit curious. You wonder what it’s like; you’ve been tempted to it yourself. Pole dancing has moved out of the Ba-da-bing Club and into the mainstream. It’s an exercise régime, a treat for your man, and a good time for you and your ladies.

Pole dancing bachelorette parties are more popular than ever. It’s the chance for you and your girls to get silly, have fun and work up a good sweat while you’re at it. Our favorite pole dancing place is Divine Movement, where Angi or her team of instructors lead girls through a workout while teaching them some moves that will make your experience in the bedroom a theatrical production worth a standing "o."

A Grand Wedding.com (AGW): Tell us about your pole dancing bachelorette parties.
Divine Movement: Our pole dancing and bachelorette parties are two hours of playful fun.  Each party starts with sensual floor work movements, followed by walking lessons and a beautiful pole spin.  Once we have learned all the basics we pull it all together for a jaw dropping, sensuous routine.

Pole parties are a fun way to bond with girlfriends and to cheer each other on as you spin and play on the poles. We always save a few minutes at the end to get some group photos for a scrapbook. The two hour party is just $350 for up to 10 women; you can always have more than 10 girls—it’s just an additional $35 per woman up to 12 people.

AGW: What are some of the exercise benefits of pole dancing?
Divine Movement: Benefits of pole dancing are increased abdominal strength, abdominal strength and flexibility. Since pole dancing is a slow progression to more and more advance moves and the art of dance, it’s not recommended for getting in shape quickly.

AGW: Do you have a series of pole dancing classes that a bride could take to get in shape for her wedding?
Divine Movement: For brides-to-be, our six-week Beginner Series will allow them to stretch, strengthen and master a beautiful dance routine that can be done at home—without a pole—for their new hubby on their wedding night. He’ll love it!

AGW: Is there anything 'new' in pole dancing?
Divine Movement: Pole dancing continues to grow more and more mainstream.  In recent news, women are signing a petition to get pole fitness recognized as an Olympic sport! For more pole 'news' visit polefitnessassociation.com.
