Damask tea lights from My Wedding Favors
Coca Cola. TARGET. iPhone. Your wedding. What’s the common denominator? They all have strong brands

One way of making your wedding personalized, unique and memorable is to create a brand for it, and follow it through. It often isn’t as restrictive as committing to two or three signature colors and a brand can easily translate from invites, to décor, even your wedding day wardrobe.

Damask
We love the formal and funky vibe of damask. This black and white standard makes invitations a tad more affordable (no color printing) and can be tied into your reception with damask accent linens, chair covers and/or sashes. We love these little cuties (see right) from My Wedding Favors; a little tea light we bet will last longer than m&ms.

You can truly ‘own’ the design when you coordinate accent pieces with damask, say, a damask printed ribbon around your bouquet. Today’s wedding cake artists can make almost any vision possible, and with a damask ribbon around the cake tiers or even designed in frosting will be a cool, signature touch.

Animal Print
OK, so maybe it's not the most traditional or refined option but we’re just wild about animal prints. After an internet search we found this awesome cake that we fell in love with—how fun would this be at the bachelorette party or shower?

Follow up the ‘leopard print’ bachelorette party with a wild wedding, using these giraffe print invites we found on Wedding Paper Divas or these zebra print ones from paperlicious. Just because they’re not found in the wedding section doesn’t mean they won’t work for a wedding.

Animal print cocktail napkins or an occasional accent tablecloth here and there will complete the look and brand your wedding ‘too wild for words.’ But the key to successful animal print execution is "keep it minimal." Leopard print chair covers, animal invites and zebra plates may look more like ‘bad Vegas’ than ‘funky festive.’
